Does Connecticut offer early voting? 

  • Yes, Connecticut offers early voting, in fact, it starts today! You can choose whether to vote on Election Day or during the early voting period, whichever is easier for you. This can be especially helpful if it would be difficult or not possible for you to vote on Election Day. Early voting locations may be less crowded, as well.

When can I vote early? 

  • You can vote in person before Election Day between Oct 21 and Nov 3. Dates and times may vary by location.

Where can I vote early? 

  • Early voting locations may be different from where you vote on Election Day. In Waterford, early voting is ONLY available at the Waterford Town Hall (15 Rope Ferry Road).

What are the hours for early voting in Waterford? 

  • Oct 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30 and Nov 1, 2, 3: 10:00am to 6:00pm. On Oct 29 and 31, early voting hours are 8:00am to 8:00pm

What time can I vote on Election Day? 

  • On Nov 5th, you can vote any time from 6:00am to 8:00pm. You will also want to make sure you look up your specific polling location if you are voting on Election Day. Waterford has 4 voting locations and your location for Nov 5th depends on where you live in town.

What do I need to bring? 

  • You may be asked to show ID to vote in Connecticut. Acceptable forms include: Social Security card any pre-printed form of ID that shows your name and address, name and signature, or name and photograph 

  • If you’re a first-time voter who registered by mail, you will need to show proof of residence as well. 

  • Acceptable forms include: current and valid photo ID that shows your name and address copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government document that shows your name and address 

  • Voters without ID: If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to sign an affidavit instead and then vote normally. 

  • If you’re a first-time voter without ID, you may vote a provisional ballot.

Información en Español

Votación anticipada se tomará acabo del 21 de octubre hasta el 3 de noviembre de 10 a.m. a 6 p.m. Con excepción del 29 y 31 de octubre cuando las horas serán de 8 a.m. a 8 p.m.

 

Votación anticipada se llevará acabo en el auditorio del edificio de la municipalidad. Votantes deben de entrar por las puertas traseras.
